Why we volunteer
“Volunteering with AFFCAD UK is a great experience. It’s brilliant to see what our small team achieve and I’m proud to have been part of the AFFCAD School rebuild - where we raised over £250,000 to build a new local primary school. It was made even more special when we visited Bwaise and saw how our work is helping the community. I’m proud to be a part of the AFFCAD family and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new adventure.”

Fran Haigh
Grant Writer and Researcher, Volunteer since 2015
I was born in Uganda so I have always had a natural connection to the country. Volunteering for AFFCAD UK is really fulfilling as it allows me to give back a little to the country of my birth, while working with some extremely talented people who also give up their time to make a difference. I came on board to support the marketing function and in the process have learnt a lot about governance as well as grants and funders. Everyone works hard but we manage to have fun along the way. Come join us and see for yourself.
