Uganda School Partnerships

Our partner schools play an important role in AFFCAD UK’s long-term vision to tackle the causes of extreme poverty. We believe that by creating connections between young people in Bwaise and young people in the UK and throughout the world, we can work together to reduce extreme poverty.

As a partner school, you can support us by:

  • Fundraising for AFFCAD UK – your school might nominate us as their charity for the term/year, or take part in sponsored challenges like a Santa Run.
  • Raising awareness of AFFCAD’s work in Bwaise – through assemblies, workshops or Skype exchanges with AFFCAD School.
  • Volunteering at AFFCAD School during a visit to Bwaise – Please note that visits to Bwaise are unfortunately on hold due to Covid.

Benefits for your school:

  • Encourages the exchange of skills and experiences between young people.
  • Raise awareness of the issues faced by young people in slum areas of Kampala.
  • Provide new skills, experiences and outlook for UK children.
  • Support grassroots projects on the ground in Uganda.

Life as a Partner School

Students at James Allen’s Prep School (JAPS) raise money for AFFCAD UK during their brilliant annual Santa Run

James Allen’s Girls School (JAGS) students put together this fantastic play area for AFFCAD School children, during their visit to Bwaise.

During Dulwich College’s visit to Bwaise, the students helped at AFFCAD School and finished plastering the exterior school wall.
