Michael's Uganda Experience

Michael, an artist and teacher of art came out with some pens, paper, paint, intrigue and enthusiasm!

Week 1 was spent running workshops for a group of budding young artists from Bwaise. The aim was to teach these students to draw well enough so they can use art as a source of income e.g. drawing portraits at weddings. Michael also helped AFFCAD to design the outside wall of the Bwaise Youth Employment Centre and showed students from the UK how to paint the AFFCAD logo. This was Michaels’ first trip to Africa, he lived in Bwaise for the week embracing everything the welcoming, vibrant community has to offer!

Week 2 we went chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest, Rhino trekking at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and onto Murchison Falls for a river and jeep safari.
